To use this easy recipe for Taco seasonings, simply use 2 Tablespoons of the mix for each envelope of taco seasoning needed in a recipe.
- 2 Tablespoons chili powder
- 1 Tablespoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
In a small mixing bowl, thoroughly stir together all ingredients. Store in an airtight, labeled container for up to six months. Be sure to label the jar so you know what’s in it!
I usually triple this recipe just because we like to use a lot of taco flavorings in our regular meals.
NOTE: You can also add a teaspoon of cayenne OR red pepper flakes if this isn’t spicy enough for your tastebuds.

How about using dried onions (like from Costco) instead of the onion powder.. that would work too, I think. Thanks good idea.. Debi!
