Here’s one of my family’s all-time favorite chicken recipes. The instructions include directions for preparing ahead of time for the freezer. So if you find chicken on sale at a good stock-up price, you can take advantage of the sale prices and have this delicious meal waiting in the freezer for a busy evening later in the month.
Vegetarian Lasagna (cheese-free, too!)
This tasty recipe can be made ahead of time and frozen for a simple dinner on one of those “too-busy-to-cook” days we all have from time to time. And, yes, it really is “Cheese Free” lasagna.
Not only easy and delicious, this recipe is also a simple way to use canned, dried, and other easily stored food items.
This recipe is one I prepare regularly to use up leftovers or clear out the cupboards. I keep a copy of this taped to the inside of my pantry door at all times.
This recipe can easily be double or tripled, and could also be made with ground turkey, Italian bulk sausage, TVP (texturized vegetable protein), or no meat (or meat substitutes) at all.
Here’s a tasty recipe for easy Breakfast Burritos … definitely one my family’s all-time favorite make-ahead meals.
The World’s Easiest Fruit Salad
If you don’t want to admit how easy this recipe is, you can do what a friend of mine does: just smile, wink, and tell them it’s a “family secret.”
It’s so much better than those boxes with dry “cheese” powder from the store, believe me!
A friend of mine shared this recipe for make-ahead apple pie filling that I plan on using when the apples ripen later this year. You might want to keep it in your recipe files until apple season, too!
By preparing this recipe for All-Purpose Ground Meat Mix, you’ll be ready to fix any number of tasty ground meat recipes without needing to brown the meat, onions and spices each time you cook. Not only will this technique save you money, it saves time too.
Super Simple, Super Cheap Recipes
I’m always on the look out for super-simple, super-cheap recipes for lunches, snacks and using up leftovers. I usually do okay with dinner (there’s almost always something tasty hiding in my freezer), but sometimes I run out of ideas for the other eating times during the day, especially on those busy days with little time to cook.
“Mom’s Goop”: A Recipe of Sorts
Sometimes when there’s “nothing to eat” around the house, it’s possible to throw a dab of this and a dab of that into a pot, and end up with a delicious meal that would even make an Iron Chef proud.

I am also impressed with your website. I would like to get some information about advertising on your site. My site provides recipes, devotionals, household tips, etc. I send out a monthly newsletter with these included, and I also provide a weekly menu. It is all a free service, but I would like to spread the word.
Will you send me any type of information you have?
Thank you,
Susan Sikes

I’d like to see a recipe for those cookies you have in your header! Please tell me it’s not a stock photo! This looks like something that could be fun for a cold winter day with Valentine’s Day fast approaching.
