What are They Selling?  Helping Our Kids Say “No” to Advertising

Do you ever feel helpless in the face of the massive advertising campaigns directed at your children?

Simplifying Phone Calls

I kept my personal address/phone book next to the phone in the kitchen, and then thumbed through it quickly whenever I needed a number. This system “worked” … but it was rather frustrating if someone walked off with my phone book to use it in another room, and then forgot to return it to its “home” in the kitchen.

The Joys of Dryer Lint

Please keep in mind this isn’t necessarily a completely “serious” article — I have enough trouble controlling clutter in my own life without worrying about where to store my dryer lint and old egg cartons, you know? But these ideas I’m going to share really are useable for regular folk — not just those poor souls desperately seeking ways of recycling the lint balls off their favorite sweaters.  ;-)

Beating the Breakfast Rush Hour

One Response to SIMPLICITY

  1. ACAP……wow! years ago I was in the Jaycee’s in Auburn and we used to do fund raisers for ACAP way back then, then I became a foster parent and employee of DSHS and had several children in ACAP as well as picked up kids there for visits with their parents!!! It is a great daycare, one of my favorites out of the ones I transported to and from. Way to go, good for you for trying to help them out!!!
